The Poker Run for Autism was a tremendous success, bringing together riders, volunteers, local businesses, and community supporters for a meaningful day in support of Summit Academy Schools.
The event was hosted and supported from start to finish by Pearl, Dave, Brittany, and the entire team at King Sportsman, whose efforts helped make the day a success. Organizers also extended appreciation to the many vendors who set up tables and generously donated proceeds back to the cause, along with the businesses and individuals who contributed raffle prizes.
A special thank you was also given to the dedicated volunteers who helped keep the event running smoothly, as well as to every participant who came out to show support for Summit Academy Schools.
A
dditional recognition went to Summit Academy CEO John Guyer, who provided water and snacks, and to Akron Middle Principal Crystal Yingling and her team for organizing one of the event stops and the Yeti Cup/Lottery Ticket raffle. Salem Amvets Post 45 and The Upper Deck were also thanked for graciously hosting riders along the route.
An estimated 89 motorcycles participated in the ride, creating an impressive turnout. With beautiful weather, great food, raffle baskets, and an enthusiastic crowd, the event came together as a memorable and successful day for everyone involved.
The event also featured a successful 50/50 raffle, which raised $288. In a generous show of support, the winner chose to donate the entire amount back to the cause.
In total, the Poker Run brought in $2,835, adding to the day’s overall success and helping further support Summit Academy Schools.
It was, by all accounts, a celebration of community, generosity, and support.
