Summit Academy Community School for Alternative Learners Middletown serves grades K-6. We are committed to excellence in education. Our school is unique in that there are only 100 students, making it easy to get to know each child and their families personally. Having fewer students allows our teachers to become familiar with the special needs of each student so that they can better teach and guide them.

Staff

Our school understands that our students need extra guidance and attention, which is why we have specialists on staff including: IEP Coordinator, Behavior Specialist, Community Support Liaison, Literacy Coach, and Math Coach.

Special Programs

Our school offers special programs including Art, Therapeutic Yoga, Therapeutic Martial Arts, and Gardening with Sprouting Minds.

Technology

Technology has become an important component of learning that allows students to gain more information and exercise their technical skills. We are privileged to have many technological resources at our school including Chromebooks. Students also learn the value of being responsible and taking care of things because they are expected to handle the electronic devices as if they are their own.
