Regeneration Church in Warren is sporting a fresh new look thanks to students and staff at Summit Academy School – Warren Middle and Secondary. The team laid fresh mulch and picked up sticks throughout the church grounds.
“The kids worked hard and did an amazing job,” says Dean of Students Danny Stella.
The school community embraces every opportunity possible to give back to the church, according to IEP Coordinator Melissa Weaver, noting that Regeneration Church supports the school throughout the year.
“Regeneration Church provides our students cookies at Thanksgiving, gifts and cookie decorating at Christmas, and provides little gifts to students who make honor roll,” says Weaver, adding that the church also hosts the school’s annual graduation ceremony.
In turn, the school has helped with landscaping and has cleaned the inside of the church for the past few years.
“The students get to experience the joy of giving back to our community,” says Weaver. “Each student worked very hard and it was visible to see their pride in their work.”
