Summit Academy is delighted to welcome Payroll and Benefits Manager Diane Shovestull. She brings a rich professional background in the field having served as The University of Akron’s longtime payroll manager.
A native of Marietta, Ohio, Shovestull earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lipscomb University in Nashville and her MBA from The University of Akron. She says her years living in Nashville, including a few after college, were embellished with frequent sightings of musicians out and about town.
“It wasn’t unusual to be at a restaurant or out somewhere and spot a country music artist. Nashville has exploded since I lived there and is busier than ever with tourists and events,” she says.
Shovestull’s husband, Keith, is a PE teacher for the Woodridge Local School District. The pair have two children, Caleb and Hayes.
“We are all graduates (or soon-to-be) of The University of Akron. My husband and son earned their undergraduate degrees at UA and my daughter is a senior this year,” she says with pride. “Go Zips!”
In her free time, Shovestull enjoys audiobooks, cooking and traveling. “My favorite vacation spot is anywhere on a beach,” she says.
