The Summit Academy – Canton float is just a few finishing touches away from its August 6 Canton Repository Grand Parade for the Pro Football Hall of Fame parade debut.

Summit Academy Community School for Alternative Learners – Canton and Summit Academy Secondary School – Canton are preparing to make a grand greeting to the public this coming weekend. Ready to represent Summit Academy with bells on, students and staff from both schools and administration will ride a festive green-and-gold float by Creative Floats of Dover at this year’s HOF parade. The Canton Repository Grand Parade for the Pro Football Hall of Fame parade takes place on Saturday, August 6, 8 -10:30 a.m. in downtown Canton.

“The HOF parade is sure to be an exciting event for the team in Canton. We are so excited to be participating as one combined team with our students and families. It is an honor for us to represent Summit Academy Schools at such a prestigious event,” says Principal Tiffany George, who directs both Summit Academy Canton schools.

This is the first year Summit Academy is participating in the parade. George says the HOF parade is an ideal venue for boosting public awareness for Summit Academy and reaching the community. With Canton Secondary situated ideally on the parade route, staff members will also be on hand outside the school passing out information to interested event-goers.

“We are extremely excited to celebrate our Canton locations and we look forward to all the new families we will get to meet, and hopefully work with, through the experience,” she says.
