Exceptional guest speakers, impactful field trips, special events, and other educational activities that have the potential to positively influence a child’s life are the driving forces behind the Summit Academy School -Lorain Golf Outing. The event takes place Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Bunker Hill Golf Course at 3060 Pearl Road in Medina.
Proceeds from this inaugural event will go directly to the school’s parent organization to provide educational and cultural experiences for Summit Academy School – Lorain students who may not receive such opportunities otherwise, according to Principal Michael Williston. He has high hopes that the generosity of others could make way for Spartan student activities, such as college campus visits and possibly a trip to Washington, D.C.
The cost for golfers who register/pay by Sept. 5 is $95.00 (after Sept. 5, golfers pay $105.00). The event includes 11 a.m. registration, lunch, a putting contest, 18 holes, cart, proximities, skins, dinner, and awards. For those wishing to attend only the dinner under the pavilion, which includes music and corn hole, the cost is $35.
“We’re extremely excited for this event and especially for the prospect of enriching our students’ lives with the types of experiences they may never have dreamed possible,” Principal Williston says.
