Educational resources, specialized programs and extracurricular activities centered on uplifting the lives of students with autism and ADHD are the impetus behind the Summit Academy Community School – Cincinnati Golf Charitable Golf Outing. The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 30 at Avon Field Golf Course, 4081 Reading Road in Cincinnati. Open to the public, the golf outing will begin at 1 p.m. with registration followed by a four-person scramble starting at 1:30 p.m.

“Golf enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to join us for a day of friendly competition, fun-filled activities and community engagement,” says Principal Michelle Brunner, adding that the event offers community members a way to directly support Summit Academy students, many with learning challenges associated with autism and ADHD. “By participating in this event you can make a positive impact on the lives of these extraordinary students and their families.”

Proceeds from the event will directly go toward essential resources such as classroom supplies, a computer lab, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and field trips.

The cost to participate is $80 per golfer, which includes 18 holes with cart, mid- and final holes, grilled eats, chips and nonalcoholic drinks. Sponsorship opportunities ranging from $100 to $1,000 also are available.

On-course contests will take place throughout the day. The event will then culminate in a celebratory awards ceremony during which top-performing golfers will be recognized and presented prizes.

“Whether you are a golfer, a community leader or a compassionate supporter, this charity golf outing is a remarkable chance to unite and uplift the lives of students with autism, ADD, ADHD and other diagnoses. We can create a brighter future for these deserving individuals, empowering them to reach their full potential,” Brunner says.
