The Summit Academy Management Board welcomes newly elected directors Amy Martin and  Michael V. Rasicci.

Amy Martin

Amy Martin brings extensive leadership experience to the Summit Academy Management Board of Directors. She has been in healthcare administration, working at both the facility level and in regional management, for 20 years. She currently works at Certus Healthcare as a Regional Director of Human Resources.

Amy grew up in Wisconsin but remained in Ohio after graduating from Ohio University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Long Term Care Administration with a Business Minor and a Gerontology Certificate.  Amy also is a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Amy lives in Cuyahoga Falls with her two children, Lauren and Carter, who she says keep her quite busy with their activities. Her community involvement reflects her passions. She is an active volunteer at her children’s schools. Amy also is a member of the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause that calls her personally due to her grandmother’s and family’s challenges through this condition.  In addition, she is a member of Rotary where the motto rings true “Service Above Self.” In addition, Amy is a board member and active participant of the Western Reserve Hospital Senior Coalition.

As a member of the SAM Board of Directors, Amy aspires to make a positive difference in students’ lives and “give back”  to the community. “Students have always been a warm spot in my heart,” she says. “I want to provide the tools for them to be successful.”

 

Michael V. Rasicci accepted his appointment to the SAM Board of Directors with a desire to serve the organization through his business management experience.

Currently, Michael is the business development manager for North Canton’s Fieldcrest LTD where he is responsible for all business-to-business sales throughout the U.S. Before joining Fieldcrest, Michael served as the national business development manager for CCI Systems in Iron Mountain, Michigan. His prior positions include territory account executive for Frontier Communications, customer development representative for Inogen, Inc., and business development manager for Everstream. Beforehand, he served as an account executive for Time Warner Cable Business Class for 10 years.

By utilizing his project management skills, Michael says he aspires to create positive change and aid in Summit Academy’s growth, as a board member.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Middle Tennessee State University and his MBA from Walsh University.
