Saree Doyle, Director, Summit Academy Community School – Parma

Saree Doyle has been selected as the director for Summit Academy Community School – Parma. She begins her new post with the 2021-2022 school year.

Saree has dedicated her career to improving the well-being of children through educating the whole child since 2008.  She has worked in all areas of education, from public districts to residential schools.  Most recently, Saree served as the assistant director of Summit Academy Community School – Parma for the past two years.

After earning her bachelor’s degree as a mild/moderate intervention specialist (K-12) from Cleveland State University, Saree went on to receive her master’s degree in reading with an Ohio reading endorsement from Concordia University-Chicago. She is also a HGT (highly qualified teacher) in all core subject areas, including English/language arts, math, science and social studies.

“My hope for the school year is to support the staff and students as they transition back to in-person learning.” Saree says. “I want to make sure we provide the students with a safe environment where learning is meaningful and fun again; a place where they can continue to learn, grow and transition into contributing individuals in our society.”

Saree and her family enjoy exploring Cleveland’s many treasures and can be found at all Cleveland Browns games.  She adds that her 2 1/2-year-old daughter, Charlotte, keeps her on her toes.

Marquita Murphy, Director, Summit Academy – Toledo

Marquita Murphy has been selected as the new director for Summit Academy -Toledo.

Marquita brings a plethora of experience in and outside the classroom to her new role, including more than a decade of service in academia, teaching and leading educators.  Most recently, she served as an instructional coach and Title 1 teacher for Summit Academy – Toledo for the past two years.

Marquita graduated from the University of Toledo in 2006 with a bachelor’s in early childhood education. In 2015, she obtained a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Jones International University. In 2018, Marquita earned her master’s in educational leadership from Lourdes University.

Born and raised in Toledo, Marquita enjoys spending her free time with her sons, Marquice and Valance. She says she is overjoyed to begin her new journey as Summit Academy – Toledo’s new school leader. She adds that building solid and successful relationships with her team, students and families will be a top priority.

“I am looking forward to getting all my students and staff all back together again,” says Marquita, underscoring that her primary concern is to keep everyone safe as they embrace their return to in-person learning. “I want my students to love learning and enjoy the education we are providing.”

Marissa Raux, Director, Summit Academy Community School for Alternative Learners – Xenia

Marissa Raux has been selected as the director for Summit Academy Community School for Alternative Leaners – Xenia. She begins her new position with the 2021-2022 school year.

Marissa’s rich background in childhood education includes previous positions as an intervention specialist and data coach for Summit Academy Community School for Alternative Leaners – Xenia and an Early Headstart program lead teacher.

A native of Severn, Maryland, Marissa attended St. Bonaventure University in New York where she earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She went on to receive a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix.

“Although the 2021-2022 school year is bringing much change, there is so much to be excited about as we turn a new page,” she says. “As director, I will focus on creating a positive, collaborative culture in which dedicated teachers and staff strive to create an engaging learning environment for our students. Together we will work to meet the academic and social emotional needs of our students with an emphasis on targeted interventions and restorative practices.”

Marissa lives in Lebanon with her husband, Rob, and their children, Riley, Harper and Hayley.

April R. Siddique, Director, Summit Academy Community School – Painesville

April R. Siddique joins Summit Academy Community School – Painesville as its new director, beginning with the 2021-2022 school year.

April brings nine years of experience in the K-12 education system, including five in administrative positions. Most recently, she served as a data coach at Summit Academy Community School – Parma for the last two years. Previously, as a regional manager for Varsity Tutors, April was responsible for facilitating and monitoring student educational growth.

April also shares breadth and depth as a teacher. She taught English Language Arts (grades 5-8) for Summit Academy – Painesville from 2019-2020 and English, Ancient History, Geography, U.S. History, and World Cultures (grades 6-8) for the Lakewood School District from 2016-2019.

April earned her Bachelor of Science in social studies education from Nicholls State University in Louisiana and her Master of Science in literacy, culture and language education from Indiana University. She obtained her Ohio principal licensure in educational leadership from the University of Cincinnati.

April says she aspires for Summit Academy Community School – Painesville to be a pillar of the community and a safe place for students and families.

“Our school caters to diverse learners, and we believe every student deserves a high-quality education,” she says. “My goal is for each student to have an individualized education and to thrive in their learning environment. I believe every teacher and student has the potential to grow and learn, and it is my responsibility as their leader to have the courage to develop their potential.”

April grew up just outside of New Orleans where her father fishes for crawfish in the bayous. A globe trotter, April has traveled to 15 countries. She and her husband, Ghafoor, who works as a pilot, along with their cat, Cheka, and white German Shepard, Simba, live in Painesville.
