Summit Academy Management is pleased to announce that Mark Vlacovsky has joined SAM as Vice President of Finance.

Vlacovsky served on the Summit Academy Management Board of Directors for the past year. Concurrently, he worked as an accountant for George J. Randall, CPA, Inc. in Hiram. In this position, Vlacovsky was responsible for client development and service, working with closely held businesses to provide compilations, tax consulting, financial statements, and financial and strategic planning services.

In addition, Vlacovsky brings 11 years of experience in higher education, including his role as treasurer for Kent State University.  As treasurer, Vlacovsky managed the daily operations and year-end financial statement reporting requirements of investments and operating cash as well as the University’s debt. Prior to his promotion to the treasurer role, Vlacovsky served as a senior accountant for the KSU Foundation, managing the annual external audit process and year-end financial statements.

A past president of the Ohio Association of College and University Business Officers, Vlacovsky is a licensed CPA. He earned his B.A. in accounting from Kent State University.
