The Ohio Computer Based Assessments (OCBA) will take place soon (please see schedule below). Please make sure your child is on time to school on the days of testing. Once testing starts, your child will not be able to enter the testing area and will have to be rescheduled for another day. There are 2 parts to each test and we will be testing on both in the same day. Breaks will be given throughout the tests as students need them.
Please note that the high school tests are required for graduation. Students must receive a combination of 18 points total in the following tests: Algebra 1, English 1, Geometry, English 2, Physical Science/Biology, American History, and Government. Students can earn 1-5 points for each exam, based on their performance (5 – Advanced, 4 – Accelerated, 3 – Proficient, 2 – Basic, 1 – Limited). Within the 18 required points, 4 points must come from English, 4 points must come from Math and 6 points must come from Science and/or Social Studies.
Those students who started 9th grade in 2013-14 school year are responsible for passing the OGT tests however they will also take the American History and Government OCBA tests per state requirement.
